I get this error message when running
vgcreate main /dev/hdc5 and also if I use /dev/ide/host0/bus1/target0/lun0/part5 instead of /dev/hdc5:
vgcreate -- ERROR "pv_read(): read" reading physical volumes
Any ideas? lvm-mod is loaded and the pvcreate went fine. _________________ Best regards,

SOLVED
I needed to change my partition's system id (via fdisk) to 8e, aka Linux LVM - for it to work. _________________ Best regards,
