After two days of work I finally got my gentoo installed. However when booting I get an error.
The entire gentoo is installed on hda9 which is an ext3 partition. Grub starts booting the kernel and then I get an error:
* Calculating module dependencies... [ ok ]
* Checking all filesystems...
fsck.ext2: No such file or directory while trying to open /dev/BOOT/dev/BOOT: The superblock could not be read or does not describe a correct ext2 filesystem.......
I know that the address is weird, so I must have done something wrong. So what do I do?

Have your run an update world recently? It looks like your fstab may have been replaced by one from the baselayout package. You will need to boot from the cd mount your noot and nano the /etc/fstab partition and replace ROOT,BOOT,SWAP with the proper /dev/hd's _________________ Come and play in my land |
