Well, as the title says, my Gentoo box is not connected to any network, but I have another computer that I can access the internet with.
I am using the x86_64 architechture and have downloaded and burned the 2004.1 iso images.
I am new to Gentoo and all this emerging business and have a few questions:
1. As the title says, how do I get xorg-x11 on my computer?
2. I have a radeon 9600 pro. There were a couple of posts saying that a 64-bit driver for it wasn't available yet. Nevertheless, is there a driver for the 2D functions? The default driver looks hideous with XFree86.
3. If there is such a driver, how do I enable it on my computer?
Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

I would strongly suggest you go to the amd A64 forum to get an answer. As you will see there, XFree has been depricated for xorg-x11 and instructions for installation are given. If you can get your radeon card to work, more power to you. _________________ Lou_The_Blue_Guru
