|
|
I'm trying to install from an oldworld mainstreet powerbook G3 using BootX and the 2004.0 liveCD. root=/dev/ram0, and using the G4 kernel and initrd with a RAM disk size of 32000 is the only way i've been able to even get to a linux prompt. However, using that method I get an error about not being able to open /etc/init.d/rcS. Once at the prompt, I took a look around and found that proc wasn't mounted. What am I doing wrong, and what should I be passing to the kernel? |

What does your /etc/fstab look like? Is there any relevant info in dmesg? (Mounting issues, init stuff, other errors) _________________ Osmos.org

/dev/ram0 / ext2 defaults 0 0
proc /proc proc defaults 0 0
I'm going to bed for tonight, but tomorrow I will check for more errors |
