hi,
i have added an new user "anna" on my system. if i would dial-up to the internet with "pptp adsl", then i get the following error:
anon warn[pptp_gre_bind:pptp_gre.c:82]: socket: Operation not permitted
anon fatal[main:pptp.c:245]: Cannot bind GRE socket, aborting.
the new user "anna" is member of the group root:
id anna
uid=1003(anna) gid=0(root) groups=0(root)
i do not understand, why i havn't enough permission for this operation. Can anybody help me? |

yes!
as root it works fine. now, i have set the s execution flag of the pptp client. when i start it, then no error message appears, but i havn't a connection to the internet. |
