ragazzi ogni tanto guardo e mi stupisco ma secondo me non è normale...

per favore?Cmq hai già guardato al contenuto dei vari log, /var/log/messages in primis? Non è che hai attivato nel kernel qualche opzione del tipo verbose?O che hai qualche demone mal configurato che spara output a manetta?

Ma quanta roba in quel /var/log :D cmq io spulcerei per bene questi files che mi sembrano i più corposi e cercherei di capire a che files di configurazione fanno riferimenti le voci che ci trovi lì dentro

ho un problema simile, come faccio a separare o non loggare
queste "cose" nel dmesg? (dovrebbero esser di iptable?!)

Provate ad usare "logrotate", tra le altre cose permette di impostare una dimensione massima ai log. Non é la soluzione ai problemi che magari avete ma lameno ne limita la dimensione.

Per ridurre o eliminare messaggi di log che vi sembrano inutili dovete agire sulla configurazione del vostro logger.

Se non ricordate qual'é il logger che avete scelto nell'installazione:

Un'altra cosa che mi è venuta in mente e x cui sono impazzito sul mio server samba: guarda

ed anche il file di cron di ogni utente che si trova sotto

. Io uso vixie-cron, non so se tu anche il tuo cron daemon usa questa cartella.

Se uno mette questo in /etc/logrotate.conf ottiene che i file di log "grossi" vengono salvati ogni "1 mega" in /var/log/old (createla se non c'è) e cancellati dopo 5 passaggi
Naturalmente bisogna mettere anche logrotate nel crontab
