I see a lot of people using ~x86 on specific builds or *gasp* the whole system. Every now and then I need a feature in a masked product but dont want to get it mainly because I have this feeling that there may be a solid reason behind this masking. I was wondering if there was a site (other than subscibing to mailing lists) to look up and read -why- things are masked. Every source I've been to has hit or miss one liners about a masking or nothing at all.
Sorry if this has been asked elsewhere.
Anyone know? |

All packages usually have a certain time which they have to spend in ~x86 before they are marked stable. |

Yeah, usually it's only ~x86 because it (or one of its dependancies) is new. They'll filter down eventually.
I've been using ~x86 on my whole system for quite awhile, no regrets! _________________ Registered Linux User #263260 |
