I emerge the new nvidia drivers (kernel and glx 6106). But now no device nodes are being created when I load the nvidia module. I'm running a pure udev system. If I run NVmakedevices.sh everything works fine - until the next reboot. The sysfs patch has been removed from the ebuild, but it still seems to be necessary.
Can anybody help? |

I had this problem with another nvidia version, I fixed it by having
Code: | RC_DEVICE_TARBALL="yes" |
in /etc/conf.d/rc
This tells udev to save a copy of /dev upon shutdown and reload it on startup. |

The -r1 kernel going into portage now will create devices properly |
