questa settimana con Gentoo mi va di sfiga,
oltre al problema con le lingue di KDE (non ancora risolto,
ma non demordo...) ora mi ritrovo questo problema
quando tento di emergiare mozilla 1.7:

non so che pesci pigliare, sono completamente spiazzato
e sul forum Gentoo non ho trovato nulla di utile, mi devo
preoccupare? la mia Gentoo Box è rovinata? o posso

Non c'e' niente che non va nella tua gentoo... semplicemente non trova il pacchetto in questione su quel mirror. Prova a cambiare mirror.

ho lanciato *mirrorselect -i* e ho abilitato tutti i mirror esistenti e aggiunti al /etc/make.conf
dopo di che ho fatto l'emerge di mozilla ed ecco l'output:

ora il pacchetto *!moznomail?* l'ha trovato, l'ha pure scaricato, ma sembra
non piacergli affatto... non mi è chiaro il significato di:

per cui non so se fidarmi e seguire le istruzioni che sono riportate successivamente, cioè di rifare fra un po *emerge sync* e in caso
si ripresentasse l'errore di lanciare a mano l'ebuild come specificato...
mi devo fidare? qualcuno ha già avuto problemi in passato o di recente?[/b]

l'ebuild ha un errore, !moznomail è una condizione su una USE, non un pacchetto
dai un emerge sync

non sapevo che !moznomail fosse una condizione di USE
ho fatto un bel:
riavvio pc (sono 2 mesi che è acceso, gli do un po di respiro)
etc-update (giusto per essere sicuro che non ci fosse qualcosa in sospeso)
env-update && /etc/profile
rm -rf /usr/portage/net-www/mozilla*
emerge sync
ma quando do *emerge mozilla* ottengo lo stesso errore:

dunque ho capito dove sta il problema e l'ho risolto...
il fatto è che l'ebuild ufficiale contiene dei bug e fa casino
con la FEATURES "cvs" del mio /etc/make.conf
tale opzione non la posso togliere dal /etc/make.conf
perchè mi serve, per cui per poter compilare adeguatamente
mozilla 1.7 bisogna fare così:
FEATURES="-cvs" emerge mozilla
e tutto è bene quel che finisce bene
