Emerge system problem

on part 6d (Progressing from Stage2 to Stage3) of installing gentoo. I try to do

Did you do the mirrorselect step, if you did you should have multiple entries in /etc/make.conf that are in the section GENTOO_MIRRORS.

Ya might want to start there first.

I did do the mirrorselect step, however i just opened /etc/make.conf to find GENTOO_MIRRORS="", I just tried to do mirroselect again except:

bash: mirrorselect: command not found

You will need to "exit" the chroot and then redo the command. then chroot back in to finish the install.

thank you for your fast response, i just tried mirrorselect again, it still did not write anything to make.conf. the only output generated from mirrorselect is

Can you post the command as you are typing.

very odd well here is a list that i used to use before i fired up my own mirror.
