Moin moin,
kann mir evtl. jemand sagen, ob es bei ssmtp die Möglichkeit gibt, den SMTP-Benutzernamen + Passwort in der Konfigurationsdatei zu hinterlegen?
per Hand ist das kein Problem:

/usr/sbin/sendmail -t -auUSERNAME -apPASSWORD ...
Das funktioniert, nur viele Programme benutzen sendmail (ssmtp bei mir) um z.B. Statusmails zu verschicken, was aber dann bei einem Provider mit SMTPAUTH fehlschlägt.
man ssmtp hat mir in diesem Fall nicht weitergeholfen :-/

Gleiches Problem (bedauerlicherweise ohne Lösung) hier, aber besser als gar keine Antwort ;)

Ich weiß nur, daß es bei msmtp funktioniert...
