Can you make the vesafb-tng as "optional"(by some use flag)? Since the LCD users do no need it at all...and, it seems to break the bootsplash on my Matrox G450.

Hmm, speaking of ins and outs, my beloved AMD power management patch has been out since around -love5.
You can get it from http://muru.com/linux/amd-smp-idle/

Applies almost cleanly to all the loves since it's been dropped.
I know I'm probably the only one using it, but can I have it back please?

I have a request though - use love sources on my laptop mainly. Any chance of integrating swsusp2 to it by default??

I just discovered something very interesting, not sure if anyone else has noticed this. Anyway, nvidia works now with framebuffer, the console badness after closing the x session isn't there anymore, this is a result of the new vesafb-tng patch, I confirmed that by testing it with gentoo-dev-sources 2.6.7-r8. This is with nvidia 6106 btw, once again, not sure if this has already been found, but very cool ntl.
