Well, it built cleanly, have to wait for an ebuild to finish up before I can reboot though, shouldn't be long now. I noticed that win4lin is back in, it built cleanly btw. Nice work! (I hope ) |

I've got error on Athlon64 box:
Code: |
CC drivers/video/fbmem.o
In file included from drivers/video/fbmem.c:39:
include/video/vesa.h:22: error: field `regs' has incomplete type
make[2]: *** [drivers/video/fbmem.o] Error 1
make[1]: *** [drivers/video] Error 2
make: *** [drivers] Error 2
|
Thankfully that's not big deal for me as I can easily live without framebuffer and everything else compiles fine. |

Can you make the vesafb-tng as "optional"(by some use flag)? Since the LCD users do no need it at all...and, it seems to break the bootsplash on my Matrox G450. |

I don't understand that every love-sources someone asks why win4lin isn't in it or glad to see it back!
It's been in every love sources for at least the last 10 releases.
Not having a go I promise I simply do not understand the comments every release - I've checked the changelogs, it's mentioned in there everytime and as the win4lin patch is always mine I know the patch is there....
Anyway, nice one genstef and Mafteah |

Hmm, speaking of ins and outs, my beloved AMD power management patch has been out since around -love5.
You can get it from http://muru.com/linux/amd-smp-idle/
Applies almost cleanly to all the loves since it's been dropped.
I know I'm probably the only one using it, but can I have it back please? _________________ Please put [SOLVED] in your topic if you are a moron. |

I'm getting this when I try to create the digest...
Code: |
root@bender love-sources # ebuild love-sources-2.6.7-r8.ebuild digest
>>> Generating digest file...
<<< linux-2.6.7.tar.bz2
<<< 2.6.7-mm7.bz2
<<< 2.6.7-love8.bz2
<<<
ebuild: this ebuild generated output during the depend phase (bad)
|
Not sure what that means...anyone else? _________________ -Lunchy |

Ditto for the ebuild, had to patch it all manually.
I have a request though - use love sources on my laptop mainly. Any chance of integrating swsusp2 to it by default??
Cheers |

i used the -love7 ebuild as the server seemed to be temporarily down or something.
rename it, change -mm version and url and it should work fine. _________________ Out of silence, a story. Out of chaos, order. Out of nothingness, love...

I just discovered something very interesting, not sure if anyone else has noticed this. Anyway, nvidia works now with framebuffer, the console badness after closing the x session isn't there anymore, this is a result of the new vesafb-tng patch, I confirmed that by testing it with gentoo-dev-sources 2.6.7-r8. This is with nvidia 6106 btw, once again, not sure if this has already been found, but very cool ntl. |
