Hi,
heute nacht hatte ich auf meinem Rechner eine "kleine" Kernel-Panic.  Offenbar wurde dabei eine meiner mit XFS formatierten Partition ziemlich in Mitleidenschaft gezogen, möglicherweise, weil zum Zeitpunkt des Absturzes ein Schreibvorgang ablief.
Jedenfalls kann ich die Partition nicht mehr mounten. Eine Überprüfung mit xfs_check bzw. in nächster Instanz dann xfs_repair hat mir die Gewissheit gegeben, dass der Primary, sowie alle Secondary Superblocks gegrillt sind. Gibt es noch eine Möglichkeit, wieder an die Dateien zu kommen, die sich auf der Partition befanden (bzw. hoffentlich noch befinden)? |

Ich hab in der manpage diesen eintrag gefunden:

man xfs_repair
-o Override what the program might conclude about the filesystem if
left to its own devices.
The assume_xfs suboption specifies that the filesystem is an XFS
filesystem. Normally, if xfs_repair cannot find an XFS superblock,
it checks to see if the filesystem is an EFS filesystem before it
tries to regenerate the XFS superblock. If the assume_xfs option
is in effect, xfs_repair will assume that the filesystem is an XFS
filesystem and will ignore an EFS superblock if one is found.

KA ob des hilft, den superblock wieder herzustellen.
Ich hatte bis jetz (glücklicherweise) noch nie solche Probleme mit xfs.

Nein, die Option hat leider nichts gebracht.
Die Meldung lautet immer noch "Sorry, could not find valid secondary superblock".
Soweit ich den Text der Manpage verstanden habe, war -o assume_xfs aber auch gar nicht für diesen Fall gedacht, sondern eher, wenn EFS erkannt wird anstatt XFS.
