hallo,

Code:
* starting pci hotplugging...
missing kernel or user mode driver emu10k1
...can't load module emu10k1

cyrus.

da kommt u.a. folgendes:
Code:
/lib/modules/2.4.20-gentoo-r8/kernel/sound/pci/emu10k1:
snd-emu10k1.o  snd-emu10k1-synth.o

is doch eigentlich auch richtig so, oder?!

huhu,

in /var/log/messages steht folgendes
Quote:
Jun 23 07:23:36 bart Creative EMU10K1 PCI Audio Driver, version 0.20a, 23:51:40 Apr 14 2004
Jun 23 07:23:36 bart insmod: /lib/modules/2.4.20-gentoo-r8/kernel/drivers/sound/emu10k1/emu10k1.o: init_module: No such device
Jun 23 07:23:36 bart insmod: Hint: insmod errors can be caused by incorrect module parameters, including invalid IO or IRQ parameters. You may find more information in syslog or the output from dmesg
Jun 23 07:23:36 bart insmod: /lib/modules/2.4.20-gentoo-r8/kernel/drivers/sound/emu10k1/emu10k1.o: insmod emu10k1 failed

huhu,
in meiner /etc/modules.conf habe ich folgenden eintrag gefunden:
Code:
### modules-update: start processing /etc/modules.d/emu10k1
post-install emu10k1 /usr/bin/emu10k1-script restore
pre-remove emu10k1 /usr/bin/emu10k1-script save

### modules-update: end processing /etc/modules.d/emu10k1
