Hi
I am trying to remove a file from my reiserfs slice and there is no way ... after i try removing it the filesystem freezes and i cant do anything on it ... i even cant list files ! i already tried cleaning the filesystem unmounting it then running fsck but it did not solve the problem...
here is what i do:

It sounds like FS corruption to me (consider checking your hardware is what most reiser folks would recommend :-) )

if you have reiserfsprogs emerged, you should be able to fsck the partition.
remember to first go into single user mode with (I think?) "init 1"
and then to unmount the partition; or if it's the root partition, to remount it read-only.

then go fsck.reiserfs and you can see what it thinks.
