Hello,
I want to ask if somebody could see a Xfree enviroment by the DVI interface of an ATI Radeon 9200.
The rest of the information of my system is:
I have loaded on the kernel (not as an external module) the support of AGP and the chipset is loaded by the same way too. Also i tried to load as external module, with identical results. The driver loads perfectly and the hardware are recognized.
The system boots up on console mode, and it shows the console through the DVI port. I get a perfect image and the resolution is that i choosed during the installation.
But, when i execute "#startx", i can't get any image through the DVI interface and the D-Sub Interface (analog) shows the windows (twm). If I close the X server, then i come back to the console, but it shows through the D-Sub...and nothing is showed through the DVI...untill i reboot the system.
The log of the X server is perfect. Dont shows any problem. The 3D runs perfectly, at 280 FPS.
I have write the option "MonitorLayout" on the XF86config-4 (or something like that) with the results "TMDS, CRT". I also try with this option at "AUTO, AUTO".
Somebody could tell me (on a better english than mine if possible) how can i get the XFree through the DVI Interface?
Thanks a lot and sorry of my bad english |
