I have kde beta2 installed with kopete 0.4.1.
When I do an emerge -s kopete I got:

* net-im/kopete
Latest version available: 0.4.1
Latest version installed: 0.4.1
Homepage: http://kopete.kde.org/
Description: The KDE Instant Messenger

but I have the a newer ebuild in my portage tree:
/usr/portage/net-im/kopete/kopete-0.5.ebuild
and it's not masked!

What's wrong?

I also unmerged kopete 0.4.1, but I still don't see the new one. emerge reinstalled the 0.4.1

Any ideas anyone?

Yes, bingo, that's it. It worked!

Thanks, for the quick answer.

BTW, How does it work?
Where are the ebuild marked stable and unstable?

In the ebuilds we have a line that says... KEYWORDS="~x86 PPC" fx. which means that this is stable for PPC and unstable in x86 archs.
