Where's the postmaster log?

Hi,

I'm trying to sort out a PostgreSQL problem, and am unable to find where the postmaster log file can be found on Gentoo. It doesn't appear to be anywhere in /var/lib/postgresql/data, and I can't find PostgreSQL entries in any of the /var/log files.

I'm running ksyslogd, which - as I understand it - doesn't write logs in batches, so I'm fairly sure that it's not related to that in any way. Can anyone tell me where postmaster log entries should appear?

PS: While you're at it, can anyone see anything wrong with the line
host all 137.44.103.0 255.255.255.0 md5
for the pg_hba.conf file? Ta!
