i try to install gentoo from livecd 2004.0.
i have a AMD 1300, AHA2940, SCSI CD-Rom and a AGP Grafic.
I get the message:
Code:
* Starting USB and PCI hotplugging...
** can't synthesize input events - /proc/bus/input/devices missing
and then the system stops.
any ideas? tried apm=off

Try using another of the kernels on the LiveCD. The smp kernel is generally better (and the modules there don't have unresolved symbols, as for example the vfat module on the gentoo kernel ). _________________ Military Commissions Act of 2006: http://tinyurl.com/jrcto
