Have you merged mplayer after you have merged the realplayer or realone?
If not, please emerge the real one for example and then emerge mplayer again.

I'm having the same problem and I emerge both realplayer and realone first. What about that message

?

Also, after loading skins,

rtsp_session: Not a Real server. Server type is 'QTSS/4.1.3 (Build/412.45; Platf orm/MacOSX)'.
Not a Realmedia rtsp url. Trying standard rtsp protocol.
RTSP support requires the "LIVE.COM Streaming Media" libraries!
Unable to open URL: rtsp://137.78.104.55:80/Rings1.mov

Playing /home/lsiden/tmp/download/video-CassiniArrival-SOI-AVC2004-201.rm.

I did emerge media-plugins/live-2004.03.27 but it's not finding the lib.
