hi.
i need someone guiding me through the install of lirc.
i have a infrared receiver connected to my serial port. i bought it from the internet.
now, i patched my kernel (2.6-test10-mm1), configured lirc_serial, lirc_sir and 8250 as modules. i installed lirc-0.7.0pre2 with LIRC_OPTS="lirc_sir" (also tried lirc_serial).
so, which modules do i have to load now? lirc_sir? lirc_serial? both?
i deleted /dev/lirc, now i have in /dev/lirc/:
Code: | hal lirc # ls -l
total 0
crw------- 1 root root 61, 0 Jan 1 1970 lirc0 |
what do i have to do next?
if the modules are loaded, i can start lirc with Code: | lircd -d /dev/lirc/lirc0 | , but when i start irw, it sits there and does nothing. if i start it via Code: | irw /dev/lirc/lirco | i get the following output:
Code: | hal lirc # irw /dev/lirc/lirc0
connect: Connection refused |
could someone please tell me what i am doing wrong?
thanks, revo _________________ 3 wang-tan soup, 3 garlic chicken and 3 orders of fortune cookies, that's it. - and then? |
