|
|
hi...
i've recently installed gentoo, xorg and KDE. It seems to be working just fine. Except that i cannot use ASCII code with "ALT + 64", "ALT + 92" and stuff like that to display chars. Any one have and idea of how can i enable this feature??. Its very usefull for me, since im from Mexico and i write with accents. But i like the EU keyboard conf.
Sorry 4 my bad english... thanks _________________ Be near me when my light is low,

I think "KDE Keyboard Tool" is what you want. You can access it from "Control Center->Regional and Accessibility->Keyboard Layout". It's has a lot of options you can play with. |

I don't think I heard of this working on linux...you can check if xkeycaps is working for you (it isn't for me) and map these keys somewhere comfortable, or fiddle around with .Xmodmap (Oops. There's a reply ) or try a KDE-specific solution, which I know nothing about . Welcome to the forums! |

There's a tab for "xkb options" in the keyboard tool where you can map your keys... I think you should be able to duplicate your Windows behavior. |
