hfs mount problem help!!!

i have an os 9.0 cd and when i try to mount it i get these errors:

31337 root # hpmount -r /dev/cdroms/cdrom0 /mnt/iso
hpmount: /dev/cdroms/cdrom0: This looks like a normal HFS volume (Unknown error 4294967295)
31337 root # hmount /dev/cdroms/cdrom0 /mnt/iso
hmount: /dev/cdroms/cdrom0: too many b*-tree node records (Input/output error)

if it makes a difference i am trying to mount it to use it with sheepshaver(an emulator for mac os up to 9.0.4)

i am on an x86 system!!
