|
|
Hi, I've got a problem using the vhosts of apache, local I can reach all the sides, but not from the outside, from there I always reach the first defined vhost, this is my router (using fli4l) configuration:
Code: |
HOST_2_NAME='zion'
HOST_2_ALIAS_N='10'
HOST_2_ALIAS_1='www.zaiyon.ath.cx'
HOST_2_ALIAS_2='ftp.zaiyon.ath.cx'
HOST_2_ALIAS_3='www.jempire.de'
HOST_2_ALIAS_4='jempire.de'
HOST_2_ALIAS_5='www.jempire.de.vu'
HOST_2_ALIAS_6='jempire.de.vu'
HOST_2_ALIAS_7='www.zaiyon.de.vu'
HOST_2_ALIAS_8='zaiyon.de.vu'
HOST_2_ALIAS_9='www.fjsoft.de.vu'
HOST_2_ALIAS_10='fjsoft.de.vu' HOST_2_IP='xxx.xxx.x.x' HOST_2_MAC='xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx'
|
As you can see I made up some alias names for my webserver, ftp, www and zion are working fine as names and can be reached from the outside, the rest sadly only works intern.
This is my /etc/hosts
/etc/hosts
Code: |
127.0.0.1 localhost
192.168.0.1 paron-01.zaiyon.ath.cx paron-01
192.168.0.2 zion.zaiyon.ath.cx zion
192.168.0.2 zaiyon.de.vu www.zaiyon.de.vu
192.168.0.2 jempire.de.vu www.jempire.de.vu
192.168.0.2 fjsoft.de.vu www.fjsoft.de.vu
192.168.0.3 bastet.zaiyon.ath.cx bastet
|
Every Domain is pointing to "http://zaiyon.ath.cx"
thx in advance for help _________________ What do you have when you have six lawyers buried up to their necks in sand? Not enough sand.

Zaiyon,
Your configuration looks correct there, and if it works from anywhere on the internal network it's most likely a misconfiguration with the domain name server outside your subnet.
My gameserver machine is a host on my ISP's domain, so my primary domain is set to ejourney.com, yet I cannot hit gamezone.ejourney.com from outside the office because we don't have a DNS entry for that host.
My virtual domains:
gladwinareagamers.org
tdsp.ink-smudge.com
brickandvine.ink-smudge.com
have their dns A records through zoneedit.com, so I can hit www.gladwinareagamers.org, tdsp.ink-smudge.com, and brickandvine.ink-smudge.com from anywhere outside the subnet.
I hope this helps,

its a great idea... I don't know if you know "nic.de.vu", its a service just giving a frameset to the internetsite you link it to, its a fee-less domain... not a "really" domain ^^
So vhosting only works with a "real" domain? Isn't there another way? _________________ What do you have when you have six lawyers buried up to their necks in sand? Not enough sand.
