i really need a helpful answer to this problem:
Every boot my time specified by the 'date' command tends to fall behind. at the moment it is currently two hours behind the time i origionally set it to. i had figured that this was a glitch so i used date to reset its time to what was the actual time for me. I am currently in the EST and i dont know if that has anything to do with it but it is set to EST. It just seems that every boot it just forgets to keep track of time or something. Please help. |

Check if your mobo battery isn't running out.

*emerges ntp*
i cant really mess with the mobo battery being its a laptop and i believe it draws power from the battery that is used to power the laptop when not plugged into an AC outlet. I never let it drain down fully since i put linux on it. and before then i ran a battery calibrator a million times. |
