Maybe this helps you:

Never tried it myself though.

The best way is to start from scratch or using taviso/ikaro's configs, they're pretty wel documented, but don't expect them to fully work on you system (due to system configuration differences)... They're great as a reference though.

I think taviso once had a guide online, but it has dissapeared:(

Sorry I couldn't really help:(

U hava just to copy his .fvwm2rc file in your $[HOME]/.fvwm

then try to read: http://fvwm.org/documentation/manpages/unstable/

i believe its a hidden directory, don't forget the period before you type "fvwm2rc"

Code:
 # /home/your_user_name/.fvwm2rc

or
Code:
 # /home/your_user_name/.fvwm/.fvwm2rc

make sure you read the man pages and the online doc, it's a must for fvwm.

I don't know how you use fvwm-themes, it's something with predefined themes which imho defeats fvwm's purpose of being über configurable.

You could just grab taviso's fvwm2rc from here or ikaro's from here and then move it to a .fvwm directory in your home directory.

As I said, don't expect everything to work, you might lack programs that are used in scripts etc.

Ah! Another victim of cute fvwm screenshots. I also emerged it to try it. I spent a couple of hours around it and couldn't do much...

fvwm looks promissing but it lacks good documentation. I keep reading about themes but can't find anywhere how to apply them!!

I don't have the time right now but I'll keep watching this thread. ;)

try emerging the fvwm-crystal theme, this has an installer fvwm-crystal-install.sh which you run, it asks some questions, and you have a quite nice setup.

Then you can start playing. I would recomend regular backups of the fvwm2rc though, then when you get infuriated with something not working, and you can't even get it to change back, you can just replace the file

i had the same problem when starting out
and i actully never figured out how to use the themes but crystal worked well and helped a lot actully
habak is just used to set the root window wallpaper

it might just be easiest to take taviso's .fvwm2rc file and put it in your .fvwm folder though. that way you can atleast see a some what nice looking wm even though everything probably wont work right with out a little tweaking of his config
