|
|
Hello,
I'm trying to install onto a laptop. Per the documentation here, I'm using Tomsrtbt. I even tried to roll my own kernel and such. However, I have a SMC7004AWBR (Barricade Wireless Router) that acts as my "DHCP" server. Gentoo works fine. Gentoo install works fine, too. But the boot floppy (Toms and my own) both can't connect to the outside world. I tried it on my bigbox and my laptop (card is reconized on both). Ping times out and wget can't resolve name.
Any ideas on what I can do to work around this?
Thanks.

Why don't you disable the DHCP, and switch to static... I know it is just a workaround. Also are you sure the card is good? Don't know, just brainstorming... |
