/dev/hda is probably not the drive. Check the drive by typing fdisk /dev/hda and then type p to print out the partition map. Once you see the partition you can safely quite fdisk with the q key. The drive is probably /dev/hda1 so, you can mount it using
#mount -t ntfs /dev/hda1 /mnt/windows
But it could be that /dev/hda isn't what you think it is. If you don't see your drive with fdisk than try /dev/hdb and or /dev/hdc. Good luck

Do you have NTFS support either compiled into your kernel or as a module? If as a module, is it loaded? (Use the lsmod command as root to see). |

Yep, and make sure that you have ntfs support in your kernel too. |

i know i have ntfs support i tryed that fdisk command for hdd hdd1 hdd2 hdd3
Quote: | root@Skullitor dev # fdisk /dev/hdd
The number of cylinders for this disk is set to 1216.
There is nothing wrong with that, but this is larger than 1024,
and could in certain setups cause problems with:
1) software that runs at boot time (e.g., old versions of LILO)
2) booting and partitioning software from other OSs
(e.g., DOS FDISK, OS/2 FDISK)
Command (m for help): q
root@Skullitor dev # fdisk /dev/hdd1
Device contains neither a valid DOS partition table, nor Sun, SGI or OSF disklabel
Building a new DOS disklabel. Changes will remain in memory only,
until you decide to write them. After that, of course, the previous
content won't be recoverable.
Warning: invalid flag 0x0000 of partition table 4 will be corrected by w(rite)
Command (m for help): q
root@Skullitor dev # fdisk /dev/hdd2
Device contains neither a valid DOS partition table, nor Sun, SGI or OSF disklabel
Building a new DOS disklabel. Changes will remain in memory only,
until you decide to write them. After that, of course, the previous
content won't be recoverable.

Make sure that you are fdisking hda hdb hdc hdd. It's helpful to know the system for drive naming... For an IDE drive, it's hd(hard disk) and then the letter from A-Z. For a SCSI disk you have sd(scsi disk)a-z.
Try fdisk /dev/hdd [Judging from your /dev file] |
