I'm trying to put awstats on my Apache2 webserver but I'm lost in the setup of apache. How do I get it so that files in /usr/local/awstats/wwwroot/ are accessible from www.mydomain.com/awstats or something like that? if i manually copy the html file output by awstats to my /var/www/localhost/htdocs/ folder then it works, but there has to be a different way to do this. or would it just be easier to move all of the awstats files to the /var/www/localhost/htdocs/ folder? |

There should be configuration directives in your apache2.conf file which will map the www.mysite.com/awstats/ uri to /usr/local/awstats/wwwroot/. I can't remember exactly what the required directives are, but they are in the documentation for awstats at http://awstats.sourceforge.net/docs/awstats_setup.html. Once the directives are set, also make sure the permissions are setup correctly. |
