Hi all

i have setup some loging in iptalbes ( using syslog-ng ), everything is ok, all logs from iptables go to the files i want, but i still get same junk i dmesg. How can I avoid that ?

You need to set up the line that sends the stuff to dmesg to ignore the stuff you have filtered out.

Unfortunately dmesg doesn't get its data from syslog, it reads it directly from the kernel message buffer. I don't know of any way to control what gets put in that buffer.
