I am trying to install egroupware on my box to test it out. I downloaded the source from their site and extracted it. When I run the install pages I get this error: Quote: | Checking file-permissions of phpgwapi/images for writable by the webserver: dan/users drwxr-xr-x
phpgwapi/images is not writable by the webserver !!!
Checking file-permissions of fudforum for writable by the webserver: dan/users drwxr-xr-x
fudforum is not writable by the webserver !!! |
Do I need to have the files under a different user or group because I already tried to make them world writeable(which I know is not safe). If so would it be apache or something like that. _________________ gentoo baby, its the only way! |

I changed the user/group ownership of the directories to the apache user to get this to work. So far no problem after using egroupware for about a year with 40+ users in a research department. |
