Since there's no real 'appropriate' place for this, it seems like a Portage issue... so I'll throw it out here.
I peed myself when I saw that Gentoo MacOS became available today, but I've had some issues.
The installer works fine, and the bootstrapping seems to work without a hitch, but when I try to start emerging things (system, for example) all of the .configures fail out with this message:
error: C compiler cannot create executables
This is OSX 10.3, and I have the developer tools (and thus gcc 3.3) installed, but it seems that there is an issue with the configuration. Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this? _________________ ~Anticipat3~ |

You might want to try asking in #gentoo-osx on irc.freenode.net
I saw someone there mention that fink screwed up some of their environmental variables, so you might wanna check that if you've installed fink. |

Yeah, that seems to be the case, I've been yapping it up in there all day.
Seems like nobody knows how to fix the issues though.... _________________ ~Anticipat3~ |
