Performance prob with Compaq 5300 Raid

I have one Compaq ML350 G2 with dual P3 at 1.266Ghz and 1GB ram, it is also equipped with an 5302 raid controller with 32MB cache.

There are six UW3 SCSI disks running at 15000 rpm configured as 0+1. With hdparm I get about 63.8 MB/sec. Shouldn't this be considerible higher? The discs and the controller should support 160 MB/sec, especially since they are running in a 0+1 configuration.
