Having some difficulty compiling lufs which I need quite urgently :(

Have tried a few different versions and pre 0.9.7 doesn't support 2.6.x kernels so I'm pretty much stuffed.

Here's the output of emerge (it's the same as compiling from source normally);

Code:

checking kernel... 2.6.4-rc2-love1
checking kernel support... supported in kernel/Linux/2.6
checking kernel headers... configure: error: not found in /lib/modules/2.6.4-rc2-love1/build/include. please install them!

I explicitly installed and reinstalled the linux26-headers but to no avail.

Any pointers in the right direction will be much obliged :)

Edit: /lib/modules/-kernel-/build is a file and not a directory.

p.s. I know my kernel is "out of date" but it's working the way I want, I'd prefer not to recompile to be honest.

Edit: The above can be disregarded (in my case).
I bit the bullet and upgraded my kernel but the module doesn't get recognised.

Anyone successfully got lufs working with 2.6.7 ck?

/lib/modules/2.6.x-xx-xx/build should be a symbolic link to your kernel source tree, which for you looks like it should be /usr/src/2.6.4-rc2-love1. Is this the case?

Thanks for the reply.

It wasn't at first and was failing during the configure. I changed it and it got to make install and failed.

I have it working now on 2.6.7 ck but unfortunately I don't know how I did.
Sorry!
