Why can't I copy it. I checked /arch/i386/boot/ and bzImage is there, but when I do the cp command with that path file it says the directory does not exist? Also, it doesn't work for System.map and I'm assuming it won't work for the config file.

Post the cp command you are using. We'll go from there.
[Edit]
I'm assuming that the preceding slash in /arch/i386/boot/ is a typo.
curse you, krst. You beat me to my edit.

There is no "/arch/i386/boot/bzImage". If your current directory is /usr/src/linux, you have to: "cp arch/i386/boot/bzImage" (1 slash less). |
