ciao.

grazie

ho recuperato il masterizzatore finalmente. è un hp cd4e series su usb appunto.
dando il comando
tail -f /var/log/messages ho questo output [avevo inserito il cavo a pc spento..poi l'ho staccato, e poi appunto reinserito subito dopo]
Code:

Jul 22 00:39:23 rEvolution usb 2-1: USB disconnect, address 2
Jul 22 00:39:31 rEvolution usb 2-1: new full speed USB device using address 3

quindi rileva qualcosa..

Code:
usb 1-1: new full speed USB device using address 2
Initializing USB Mass Storage driver...
scsi0 : SCSI emulation for USB Mass Storage devices
  Vendor: HP        Model: CD-Writer cd4f    Rev: 1.0A
Type:   CD-ROM                             ANSI SCSI revision: 02
USB Mass Storage device found at 2
usbcore: registered new driver usb-storage
USB Mass Storage support registered.
sr0: scsi3-mmc drive: 20x/20x writer cd/rw xa/form2 cdda pop-up
Attached scsi CD-ROM sr0 at scsi0, channel 0, id 0, lun 0

Code:

Jul 22 01:26:36 rEvolution usb 2-1: USB disconnect, address 2
Jul 22 01:26:42 rEvolution usb 2-1: new full speed USB device using address 3

Code:

Jul 22 14:40:57 rEvolution usb 2-1: USB disconnect, address 2
Jul 22 14:41:05 rEvolution usb 2-1: new full speed USB device using addres

You need to enable the driver/module, 'USB Mass Storage' in your kernel. Mine is working great via kernel 2.6.8.
