Hey there everyone, i was wondering how i would go about geting a scanner to work on linux, i can't imagine its that hard but i've never done it before so if anyone could help that would be great. The scanner is an Epson perfection 610. again, any help would be great. thanks. _________________ Time to kick ass and chew bubble gum, and i'm all out of gum.

emerge xsane

should be everything you need.
And have a look at the sane homepage. There you will find a list of all supported scanners (the epson perfection 610U is supported, though)
