Hi,
I've tryed to compile a 2.6.x kernel for PPC CHRP without success. I'm getting the error bellow: I'm already with the latest binutils.
AS arch/ppc/kernel/l2cr.o
arch/ppc/kernel/l2cr.S: Assembler messages:
arch/ppc/kernel/l2cr.S:110: Error: Unrecognized opcode: `dssall'
arch/ppc/kernel/l2cr.S:278: Error: Unrecognized opcode: `dssall'
arch/ppc/kernel/l2cr.S:387: Error: Unrecognized opcode: `dssall'
make[1]: *** [arch/ppc/kernel/l2cr.o] Error 1
make: *** [arch/ppc/kernel] Error 2
I've already tryed to compile it in PPC B50 with SuSE 7.1, PPC B50 with SuSE 7.3 and tryed to cross-compile it in x86 with Slackware 10.0 and on all I got these errors. Any idea that may help me, please ??? |

Check your compiler. I believe I had to use 3.3.3+ of GCC to get it to compile 2.6.7.

Slackware 10.0 comes with GCC 3.3.4.
I think is not this... any other hint ? |
