|
|
I have libofx-0.6.6 installed(made sure ~amd64 was in its KEYWORDS) . It emerged without errors. I've built gnucash-1.8.9 with USE="ofx quotes", along with having them in my make.conf file. I emerged gnucash with this
Code: | USE="ofx quotes" emerge --verbose gnucash
|
and had this one message at the end of the compile
Code: | * Regenerating GNU info directory index...
install-info: warning: no info dir entry in `/usr/share/info/gnucash-design.info.gz'
* Processed 288 info files; 1 errors. |
When I open gnucash and select File>Import there is no ofx choice. I've rebuilt libofx and gnucash several times with no success. What to do next? TIA, Bill |

there is a bug submitted for a gnucash 1.9 ebuild, but don't see it in portage yet. _________________ Woof, Woof! Add "[solved]" to the title! Woof, Woof! |

the gnucash-1.9.1 ebuild works for me, that is to say it compiled and I successfully imported an OFX file. |

Add this to /etc/make.conf if you don't already have a portage overlay. You will need to create /usr/local/portage
Code: | PORTDIR_OVERLAY=/usr/local/portage |
Download the ebuild and do the following while chanting "man emerge, man portage, man ebuild..."
Code: | mkdir -p /usr/local/portage/app-office/gnucash/
cd /usr/local/portage/app-office/gnucash/
tar -xvf /path/to/ebuild/patches.tar.gz
ebuild /usr/local/portage/app-office/gnucash/gnucash-1.9.1.ebuild digest
emerge -vp gnucash |
You may also need to add the folowing to /etc/portage/packages.keywords Code: | app-office/gnucash
x11-libs/goffice
gnome-extra/libgsf |
Your mileage may vary. Read the man pages, FAQ, wiki, forums and Google. If you still can't figure out portage basics, turn in your Linux membership & locker key, and switch to a Mac. |

Ah, come on! You can do better than that! Linux takes a whole lot of time for me but I think it is worth it - although working on a mac really lets me think if that time is not spent better elsewhere ... on second thought, no. I just love to solve things here, it might be the only thing I am good at now, although still being far away from being a linux literate. |

As long as you go out from time to time and enjoy the sun, friends and family and get your work done you should do fine
To stick to the topic, gnucash-2.0.0 is out as mentioned in this thread: https://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-p-3443647.html#3443647
Don't konw if it will work on ~amd64, you might want to give it a try though. |
