I'm looking at getting one of those cool mini via eden cpu dealies... anyway, i wanna have a flash card, and was wondering what size should i get if i wanna use gentoo?... since i need room for sources.. the box will mainly be just a firewall, ma'b i'll make it a proxy also.. _________________ ahhhhh!!! |

If you mount everything except the binaries via NFS you can probably manage in less than 1Gb. Drop the NFS mount when the build is done.
You really don't want to use gentoo for a firewall. Why give hackers a tool chain. Smoothwall will install in less than 200Mb and is a dedicated firewall distro. _________________ Regards,
