Ok, I have no idea what causes this problem, and it is driving me mad. Often when I try connecting to URLs I have not been to before, have been to in a long time, or ones which have changed IPs sinces last. I get redirected to a site selling domains. My current setup has one computer acting as a router for a network. Trying to connect to a site from the router only redirects me if the URL is not registered. This redirection and failure to resolve domains happens in both Linux and Windows with many different browsers |

What does your "/etc/resolv.conf" file look like? It could be a problem with your ISP DNS server. I fixed the problem by putting 6 DNS servers in my resolv.conf file. |
