uhm, i emerged gift and configured everything properly(installed the gift-gnutella, openft and fasttrack plugins as well)
afterwards i emerged giftoxic, which is a GTK+2 giFT frontend, but the thing is
gifttoxic starts up, but gives an error that it can't locate the giFT binary
also, the binary of giFT itself is giftd
is there like a way to edit in the config file of giftoxic ( the GTK+2 giFT frontend ) that it should load the giftd binary and shouldn't look for a giFT binary ?

sure, you could probably get it to do that, but it's easier just as root to
