Gentoo kept complainging about devfs not being supported by teh kernel so i decided to make a new one and it works fine. It booted up and it couldn't load the NVdriver module so i re emerged nvidia-kernel. then next boot up it loaded fine but when kdm started it was all screwed up and i couldn't see the login prompt. I just typed my user anem and password anyway and it worked but when kde started there was this big purple square in teh middle of the screen It covered up everything but the task bar thing at the bottom and the very top of teh screen. When i ever i launch a program it goes under the purple thing and i cant see it anymore. I am back using the "nv" driver now but would rather have some accelerated drivers. How do i fix this? |
