help installing ethernet card

i'm having problems with my ethernet card and internet broadband connection ive been lurking around the place ooking for an answer and it says the same for everyone stuck like me its the card not the modem well i found a place with some drivers here http://sourceforge.net/projects/e1000
and i need to know how can i manually can install the driver when i boot from the livecd thanx any help will be appreciated
by the way my card is an intel e100 type of card

are there problems with the drivers in the kernel? which kernel are u using?

i dunno the one that comes in the Live CD i mean im trying to use networking in the Live CD but it doesnt let me ping anything it says that the host cant be reached
