I have a weird problem with lilo.
I have three options in my lilo.conf: Gentoo 2.4, Gentoo 2.6 and Windows XP. When I have been using 2.4 or XP and restart, lilo is working just fine with my usb keyboard, but when I've been using 2.6 and restart I can't use my keyboard to choose between the different options in lilo. So I have to start XP, which is default, and then reboot to be able to choose something else.
Obviously I have usb enabled in my bios since it's working with 2.4 and XP, but what happens after I've been using 2.6 that does this to me?

My lilo.conf:
Code:

lba32

boot = /dev/hda
map = /boot/.map

install = /boot/boot-menu.b

menu-scheme=Wb
prompt

timeout=150
delay = 50

vga = normal

default=Windows

image = /boot/kernel-2.4.25-gentoo-r2
   root = /dev/ram0
   append="init=/linuxrc real_root=/dev/hda8 ramdisk_size=4322"
   initrd=/boot/initrd-2.4.25-gentoo-r2
   label = Gentoo
   read-only

image = /boot/kernel-2.6.5-gentoo-r1
   label = GentooNy
   read-only
   root = /dev/hda8

other = /dev/hda1
   label = Windows
   table = /dev/hda

Have you tried unplugging your keyboard and plugging it back in when it's not repsonding?

No, that didn't work... But thanks.

To correct my first post - it's when I've been using 2.6 and shutdown then restart that I can't alter my choise in lilo. When I just reboot it works just fine.

Anyone?

Nobody that has any ideas? Could it be I forgot compiling something into the kernel? Or maybe I could add something to lilo.conf that will help solve my problem? Could it be related to APM or ACPI? I have APM as a module. I don't have ACPI...
