Does anyone have some tips for getting MIDI working with a Creative SoundBlaster Audigy 2? I'm using the ALSA and OSS drivers built into kernel 2.6.7, though I've also tried alsa-driver. Everything but MIDI works just fine. I have everything unmuted.
I've tried: Code: | cat /dev/urandom > /dev/midi | but that produces no sound. I've tried using sfxload to load a big .SF2 file. No MIDI. I don't care if it's software emulation, I just want MIDI playback! Please help |

Have you emerged pmidi? If so, what does pmidi -l say?
Alternatively, if you want software emulation, emerge timidity++ and timidity-eawpatches. _________________ No-one's more important than the earthworm. |
