Anything I need in my kernel for a Voodoo 3 3500?

Basically what I'm doing here is I want to be able to capture video to a file using the S-Video port on my Voodoo 3 3500. (Hey man. Don't laugh. Glide's commin back in a BIG way! ) Do I need anything special in my kernel to do this? The program transcode has been recommended to me for capturing the video.
