Hi all,
when i try to emerge xmms-1.2.7-r4 he compiles until the opengl visualisation..
Then he says that he cant find /opt/nvidia/libopengl.so
Thats right, the new nvidia Driver store the lib directly under /usr/lib..
But i cant find anything that shows to /opt/nvidia..
What's wrong?
cheers,

Did you emerge the nvidia-kernel and nvidia-glx first? After emerging them you have to edit /etc/X11/XF86Config uncomment the glx line, add 2 module links and change "nv" to "nvidia" When you start your wm do you get a Nvidia splash screen? If you set up your config files correctly you should get a splash screen. |

ohh..
yes 3d Support works just fine..
only xmms doesn't compile, because it search at /opt/nvidia instead of /usr/lib!
This is my problem..
The NVIDIA Driver works just fine |

Ok. well I don't know how to fix that. I'm also having emerge problems with Xine and KDE.
Plus alsa isn't working correctly, ogle crashes, and mplayer won't play sound, yep my system is only half working. |
