Choosing a firewall..help

I am currently looking into a couple of different firewall solutions for a College and I'm not sure the best way to go. I've been looking at the following projects

1) Sentry Firewall CD
2) Smoothwall
3) Shorewall

Ideally I need something that can act as a firewall and traffic shaper (QoS or Packet Shaper). In the end we are going to have about a 15Mb link. Are there any more projects out there that I haven't seen?

I'll chose Smoothwall or a gentoo box with shorewall.
